Win an iPod Touch from Phoenix Environmental Care

To promote the launch of Phoenix Environmental Care’s new Web site, the company is running a “Touch This and Win!” promotion. 

The company has hidden an iPod Touch image on one of their Web site pages, and they are giving away an iPod Touch to the winner who finds the image. To start the search, visit www.phoenixenvcare.com/touchthis, fill out the registration form and start searching.

Every time an iPod Touch image is discovered, the company will move it to a new location on the site to keep the search going. The promotion will run until March 31, 2009, and is available to qualified and currently active golf course superintendents, assistant golf course superintendents and aquatic applicators.

Farno Joins BES Global Headquarters

Peter Farno has joined Bayer Environmental Science’s global headquarters in Lyon, France, as the global portfolio manager for the green industry.

Farno is the former director of marketing for Bayer’s U.S. Professional Pest Management business.

He has 21 years of experience in the industry, working 16 years in the T&O business and five years in the PPM business. He was the former fungicide business manager for Aventis Environmental Science, and prior to that worked as the Southeast Florida sales representative for Rhone-Poulenc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative management from New Hampshire College (Southern New Hampshire University).
