Cub Cadet Donates Lawn Care Equipment to Local Hero

11/16/2012

On Wednesday night's episode of the Great American Country Network's new series "Great American Heroes", show host and country music star, Trace Adkins, hand-delivered three pieces of outdoor power equipment from Cub Cadet to featured Grand Rapids, Mich., hero, Andrew Stachowiak.

Stachowiak, a small business owner, GreenCare for Troops volunteer and former Marine, was gifted a premium quality, Cub Cadet commercial-grade zero-turn riding mower (Cub Cadet TANK SZ 48) along with a backpack blower and string trimmer.

This is Stachowiak's second year volunteering with GreenCare for Troops, where he takes care of the yard care needs of several military families at no cost to them. GreenCare for Troops is a nationwide outreach program initiated by Project EverGreen that connects participating landscape maintenance professionals and individual volunteers with families of the men and women currently serving our country in the Armed Forces.

As part of Trace Adkins' nationwide tour for the Great American Heroes series, he made a stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan at a property Stachowiak was maintaining. In addition to acknowledging all he's done to support GreenCare for Troops and the military families that benefit from his services as a volunteer, Adkins also wanted to surprise him with something special. In this case, Cub Cadet was able to step in to offer that surprise.

Local Cub Cadet dealership, Weingartz, made this gift a reality by hand-delivering the Cub Cadet products to the local residence where the show was being produced.
