Kage Innovation invents and manufactures equipment for the professional grounds manager. The entire purpose of the company is to offer new equipment solutions that will improve the efficiency and profitability of its customers. To have the Kage label the product must have a completely new design that reduces the time and effort to complete a common and repetitive task. The new product must also be simple, durable and moderately priced.
First, the Kage president and the inventor together have fifty-seven years of hands-on experience in grounds maintenance. Our affiliate company is actively engaged in landscaping and snow removal. Secondly, our continuing involvement in grounds maintenance provides a birthplace for each new Kage invention as well as an exhaustive proving grounds for each product. As we say, it is "experience driven innovation". Thirdly, capitalizing on our excitement and perseverance, we will not be content until we have made our ideas into real products, not only for the benefit of our own company, but also for contractors nationwide.
There are many facets of doing business. The following are the most important to us.
Telling the truth is primary. This also means we are careful about what we promise. Excessive claims are dishonest. When we do make a statement you can be sure it is true or we wouldn't say it. If we say we will do something then that is a promise to make it happen just that way, no matter what.
People are precious. Customers, vendors, dealers and employees are to be treated with the utmost in courtesy. We seek to enhance the reputation of others and to speak highly of them in all circumstances.
We could not continue in business without seeking and valuing the opinions and insights of others. Customer feedback is sought for every step we take.
We want to look out for the interests of others first. It is not about us, it is about you. We want our customers to increase their profits. If one of our products makes your job more enjoyable then we have greatly succeeded.
When you have just finished talking to us we want you to think, "Now that was easy. They are really nice."
There is opportunity in what Kage is doing. Kage is putting new equipment technology into the hands of maintenance workers, helping them to work faster and smarter.
Everyone knows how technology has already revolutionized processes in offices and in manufacturing. Now, Kage is taking technology outside of the four walls of the office or plant. We are moving our new ideas out of doors and unleashing them across the landscape. Kage is handing off new weapons to landscapers. The targets of Kage's weapons are the repetitive, hands-on tasks which gobble up the time and profits of all outdoor maintenance workers.
So what will drive contractor's equipment purchasing choices in the future? Well, it is doubtful that computers will plow snow or mow grass. Someone will still need to show up at a site to do this work. And, that contractor will always need to purchase equipment. The contractor's equipment choice in the future will be that which is the fastest. Speed, along with quality and safety, these are all that matter. On a grounds maintenance income statement, what is the biggest variable cost? By far, it is direct labor. Cutting labor costs is the biggest factor in profitability. Everything about a Kage product is designed to improve productivity over existing equipment brands. It is faster. It is also simple and durable.
A Kage product is a new idea. Good ideas always prevail. Kage's Snowfire system caught on nationally in 2009. Sales projections for the current year are up dramatically. In June 2010 we also introduced our newest system, the "Snowstorm".
