FLINT, Mich. – After hearing news of the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, nine Weed Man USA trucks delivered more than 1,800 gallons of bottled water to the Catholic Charities for Hope in Flint on Friday, January 29.

Steve Russell, franchise owner of Weed Man of Farmington Hills, organized the donation along with eight Weed Man offices across Michigan, including Ann Arbor, Ferndale, Midland, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Port Huron, Muskego and Adrian. In total, more than 16 people from Weed Man gathered in Flint to help with the donation.

“When I heard about the need for bottled water in Flint, I knew the heart of the Weed Man franchise network so I reached out to the Weed Man community in Michigan to see if they could help,” said Russell. “As I expected, the response from fellow colleagues who wanted to help was overwhelming. With their combined effort, we were able to fill nine Weed Man trucks with cases of bottled water and help many families have access to clean water. And big thanks to Dan Lyden of Weed Man in Adrian for coordinating the efforts and unloading so many cases.”
