Harris Laboratories Names Karr Manager of Laboratory Technology and Development

Harris Laboratories has announced that Dr. Jeremy Karr has accepted the position of manager of laboratory technology and development.

Karr will be focusing on research and development of new laboratory methodologies, evaluation of new instrumentation, as well as providing technical consultation, on-site laboratory audits and SOP evaluation.

In addition to his expertise in chemistry, Karr has a background in education. He will play an integral role in explaining complicated chemical processes to clients. Karr received a Bachelor’s of Science in education (cum laude) from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2000. He excelled in graduate school, completing a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry with a 4.0 grade point average from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2008. Before taking this position, Karr served as assistant professor of chemistry at College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Neb. (2009-present) and Newman University (2007-2009). Karr’s research includes synthesis, characterization and optimization of various inorganic polymeric biocomposites and he has extensive knowledge and use of instrumentation.
