LAYTONSVILLE, Md. – Ruppert Landscape has promoted Eric Long to the position of area manager in our Laytonsville Landscape Management branch.

Long, a resident of Rockville, Maryland, earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from Raritan Valley Community College in 2007. Following a career in the construction industry, Long made the transition to landscaping and joined the Ruppert organization as a crewman in 2012. He successfully became a certified landscape technician (CLT) in 2014. He worked his way up from crewman to assistant field manager and, finally, to field manager before being promoted to area manager recently. In this new role, Long will be responsible for the sale, renewal and production of the branch’s landscape management work; the training and development of the branch’s personnel; and ensuring quality, customer service and customer retention.

“Eric shows his commitment day in and day out,” says Dan Trocher, branch manager. “He is a constant go-getter and has shown his ability to perform at the highest levels in all of the positions he’s had. We are looking forward to his continued efforts on behalf of our branch in his new position.”
