As 2010 comes to a close, let’s take a look back at the year and reflect on a few of the changes we’ve gone through, not just with Turf magazine, but our whole company, Moose River Media. The most obvious, of course, is the size of our magazine, which is now a bit smaller than the tabloid size that we were known for for many years, and we also polished it up a bit with a perfect binding and thicker paper. We’ve also purchased American Nurseryman magazine in an effort to bring more information to you about the plants you deal with, and have partnered with the Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) to publish its Snow Business magazine and collaborate on its electronic newsletters and more. Every step we take is to put out products with more information to help you excel in your business, and I hope the changes that have taken place this year have given you new ideas and resources to bring your company to the next level. As the industry continues to constantly change, so will we, as we want to be sure you get the most updated and accurate information out there.
As we finish up another year, we thought this would be the best issue to include our Annual Buyer’s Guide, a listing of the companies that have partnered with Turf, Landscape & Hardscape Design-Build, LawnSite.com and PlowSite.com throughout the year. Inside you’ll find a listing of those companies (on page A24), along with their contact information in alphaebetical order, and the products they carry separated by equipment or product (see page A18). The Buyer’s Guide is user-friendly, so you can easily find whatever you’re in the market for by simply looking under that specific listing to see the manufacturers that carry that product. Then, to locate the dealer where you can buy it, you just need to check out our regional Dealer Directory, which lists the dealers in each of our four regions that have taken part in our promotions this year, and are listed by manufacturer, state and city. So once you’ve found the brand of equiment you want to buy, you just need to browse through the directory to find which dealer or dealers in your area carry it.
This issue is a great one to keep on-hand through the entire year as you can use it as a reference anytime you’re in the market for new equipment or products. However, if you do misplace it, keep in mind that our issues are posted online on our website, dev.turfmagazine.com, so all of that information is yours with the click of a mouse!
Have a great holiday season, and we look forward to serving you in the new year!
