LINCOLN, Neb. – Celebrating its 50th year in business, Swanson Russell has grown into the largest full-service marketing communications agency serving the turf and ornamental industries.

In particular, the agency has become nationally recognized for its expertise in the golf, landscape and nursery industries. "I am often asked how an agency located in the heartland of the United States has been able to establish itself globally," said Dave Hansen, partner/chief executive officer. "It really started with a conscious decision to have specific focus of expertise. Turf and ornamental is one of a handful of industries we chose to target our efforts."

Over the years, Swanson Russell has provided creative, media, public relations, database and interactive services to such premium turf and ornamental brands as E-Z-GO, Ariens, Briggs & Stratton, Rain Bird, Scott’s/Everris, Profile, Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting, Project Evergreen, Stuppy and Proven Winners.

"Out of the 140 professionals on our staff, nearly 40 are involved to some degree with clients in the turf and ornamental industries," said Hansen. "Many of our staff are active enthusiasts in golf, landscaping and gardening. We live the products that we are helping our clients to promote."

By working with world-renowned brands, Swanson Russell has grown exponentially the past five decades. The agency currently employs 140 people and has reached annual billings of nearly $95 million.
