LOVELAND, Colo. – Agrium Advanced Technologies (AAT) says it’s now a member in the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It’s the first fertilizer manufacturer to be recognized as a member of the USGBC.

The USGBC is a diverse, member-driven organization that identifies and implements practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions through education, research and its internationally recognized, independent Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program.

"AAT is honored to be the first fertilizer manufacturer recognized as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council," said Andrew Mittag, president of Agrium Advanced Technologies. "We share the USGBC’s mission to create and support prosperous and sustainable communities through the adoption of environmentally responsible, cost-efficient green building and maintenance practices."

"We are pleased to welcome Agrium Advanced Technologies to the U.S. Green Building Council.  SGBC membership attests to AAT’s commitment and leadership in the realm of sustainability," said Doug Gatlin, vice president, USGBC. "We look forward to working with AAT and its employees to bring greener buildings-and greener futures-to communities across the country."
