Dan Ariens, president and CEO of Ariens Co. of Brillion, Wis.,has been elected to serve as Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce chairman for 2014.
Ariens will succeed outgoing chairman Todd Teske, chairman, president and CEO of Wauwatosa-based Briggs & Stratton Corp. WMC said Ariens intends to focus on workforce development and on improving the state’s business climate.
Ariens’ great-grandfather Henry Ariens founded Ariens Co. as a rotary tiller manufacturer. The company now produces a wide array of consumer products including snow blowers, lawn mowers and other products.
