LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – Billy Goat Industries, Inc., has completed the acquisition of the Plugr brand of aerators from SourceOne, Lincoln, Nebraska.
The acquisition of the Plugr brand of aerators complements Billy Goat’s new 30-inch hydro aerator launching at the GIE+EXPO Oct. 22-25 and creates the premier lineup of commercial reciprocating aerators on the market.
Reciprocating aerators have advantages over traditional drum aerators that allow for unique features such as in-ground turning that reduces contractor fatigue; fewer tines for easy service; variable aeration density that produces two to ten times more holes per pass-ideal for patch and repair work-and deeper plugs regardless of soil conditions.
Billy Goat’s combined 2015 aerator lineup will be the most comprehensive offering of aerators on the U.S. market. Customers may now choose from the proven 19-inch walk-behind and 48-/72-inch tow-behind drum aerators, the new 18- and 25-inch mechanical reciprocating aerators, and the new 30-inch hydrostatic reciprocating aerator-an industry first. No company has more pricing and operating width options between 18 and 30 inches.
Additionally, Billy Goat, Ind. has acquired the expandable 36-, 48- and 60-inch tow-behind drum aerator and the 500-pound capacity loading ramps.
