NATICK, Mass. – The Ecological Landscaping Association, headquartered here, is launching a free webinar series on sustainable landscaping for professionals beginning on Sept. 17th. Sylvan Kaufman will be presenting on "Ecology Basics for Landscapers and Designers." Preview the content and speaker and register here.

The interactive webinars will be taught by experts from across the country who are known for their expertise in specific areas of sustainability. Topics covered include a deeper look into soils, native and invasive plants, water management, designing a sustainable landscape, sustainable maintenance, organic lawn care, the "good business" of sustainable landscaping, and sustainability as a healthy landscape option.

The series is presented by the Ecological Landscaping Association (ELA), in collaboration with the Midwest Ecological Landscape Alliance (MELA), the Chesapeake Conservation Landscape Council (CCLC), and EcoLandscape California (ELC).

"After several years in the idea stage, and thanks to former ELA President Risa Edelstein, this collaboration is finally coming to fruition," said ELA Executive Director, Penny Lewis.

"With ELA members located all across the country, we are excited to be offering high quality ecological education that is no longer location-dependent. We are very fortunate to have the participation of three exceptional organizations in MELA, CCLC, and ELC. By collaborating with regionally-based partners, the webinar content will address topics of interest to our wide ELA audience."
