In an effort to increase the amount of power equipment technicians for our industry, the Equipment & Engine Training Council has recently accredited El Campo High School in El Campo, Texas. This brings the number of accredited outdoor power equipment training programs to 73 throughout North America.

We are very excited to become an accredited training program with the EETC,” said Larry Kuretsch, small engine technology instructor at El Campo High School. “Building a strong relationship with EETC and EETC manufacturer members can only help our students become more successful when they graduate and take their place in the power equipment industry,” Kuretsch said.

“This is a great accomplishment to become an accredited training program” said Erik Sides, Executive Director for EETC. “The EETC Accreditation Program helps improve the quality and consistency of training offered. Through the use of industry-developed standards and certification test the graduating student will truly be prepared to enter the outdoor power equipment industry with the skills and values desired by employers.”
