Excel Industries, Inc., manufacturer of Hustler Turf Equipment and BigDog Mowers, has named Brent E. Edmisten vice president of global supply chain.
Prior to his current position, Edmisten had executive leadership positions at Cessna Aircraft Company and most recently at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation as vice president of supply chain operations. He brings over 20 years experience as a supply chain transformation leader. His background includes the design, deployment and management of world-class global supply chain processes that deliver world-class results in the areas of quality, cost, delivery, service and overall product improvements. His many awards and accomplishments include winner of the Purchasing Medal of Excellence in Supply Chain Management, numerous published articles for magazines and other publications, featured conference speaker, and a member of the University of Kansas SCM Advisory Board.
He has a B.S. in business administration and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from Friends University in Wichita, Kan. He is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional and a Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager.
