PITTSBURGH, Pa. – LandOpt Contractor Green Earth Landscape Services has acquired a Santa Rosa landscape contractor, expanding the company’s footprint in the Florida Panhandle and extending the reach of the LandOpt Contractor Network with a second license agreement.

By adding this second location, Panama City-based Green Earth increases their service area to also include Santa Rosa/Destin and Fort Walton Beach. According to co-owner Jeremy Durgan, a desire for growth fueled the decision to acquire a second location. "For us, merging our business with Professional Outdoor Services-a successful and well-established business-made the most sense. They have a talented team in place and we won’t miss a beat in providing service to the existing client base. At the same time, we’ll be able to use the LandOpt tools to grow and strengthen our position in that market."

Co-owned by Durgan and Shawn Knight, Green Earth is LandOpt’s first contractor with active multiple locations. A full-service professional landscape design, maintenance and consultation firm, Green Earth will provides property solutions for both residential and commercial customers in the Santa Rosa area in addition to continuing to service the greater Panama City Beach area, including Walton, Bay and Gulf Counties.

Acquiring the LandOpt license rights for Santa Rosa will facilitate ease of operation at both Green Earth locations since the systems, processes and roles will be identical. "With LandOpt, we’ll all be speaking the same language," noted Durgan. "As well, this will allow for more opportunities in terms of career growth for both teams since the two businesses will be operating in an identical manner."

The addition of a second Green Earth location continues the trend of growth that the LandOpt Contractor Network has seen over the past six months. "Growth through merger and acquisition is a viable strategy for successful companies such as Green Earth," noted LandOpt President & CEO Tim Smith. "For LandOpt Contractors, the task of managing multiple companies is less daunting when they have universal systems and processes that serve to remove a lot of the guesswork and allow for consistent service delivery across the board.  We’re excited to watch Shawn and Jeremy grow their business and look forward to supporting them through their journey."
