HERNDON, Va. –  Greenleaf Service, Inc., and The Toro Company are the newest PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) donors to become Ambassadors.

The $25,000 pledge from Edward J. Snyder, owner of Greenleaf Services, Inc., located in North Carolina, makes Greenleaf Services the newest PLANET AEF Ambassador. Greenleaf Services is a full-service landscape design, construction, and maintenance firm specializing in custom residential landscapes. "I wanted to give back to the group of professionals that I’m humbled to be a part of," said Snyder. "Greenleaf Services is pleased to now be a part of PLANET AEF."

The Toro Company, already a PLANET Ambassador, has pledged an additional $10,000, elevating it to the Platinum Ambassador level. Since 1914, Toro has maintained its commitment to building trusted relationships and constant innovation to help customers better care for their outdoor environments.

"The Toro Company wanted to be more involved in PLANET AEF and, as an industry supplier, this is an excellent opportunity for us to help promote leadership and professionalism to future professionals of the landscape industry," said Judson McNeil, president, Toro Foundation.

PLANET AEF was formed in 1998 to promote and advance the lawn care and landscape services industry by supporting academic excellence. To fulfill its mission, the Foundation relies on tax-deductible donations and long-term pledges from individuals, corporations, organizations, and estates. Since its inception in 1998, the PLANET AEF, formerly the ALCA Educational Foundation, has awarded $730,000 in scholarship to 720 students.
