HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. – Greenscape, Inc. President Daniel Currin announced that the Boys & Girls Club of Wake County will be the beneficiary of the company’s next Community Outreach service project. The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include enhancing the Club’s outdoor spaces, improving the sports fields, pruning, mulching, planting and general cleanup.

Greenscape has done regular service projects for years, but just started a formal program to accept requests for assistance this summer,” says Currin. “The Boys & Girls Club of Raleigh was the first project chosen by our Outreach Committee. The Club is a great fit with our participation in the Come Alive Outside movement that encourages great outdoor spaces to make folks want to get active and spend more time outside. We will be aerating, overseeding and fertilizing the Club’s soccer, baseball and softball fields, as well as enhancing the landscaping. We’ll have around 20 employees working hard on the improvements and invite our friends to come join us on October 11th to help support this worthy cause.” Triangle area nonprofits are welcome to apply for landscaping assistance by completing the form on Greenscape’s website here

Greenscape partner John Deere Landscapes will be donating plants, seed and fertilizer, and Atlantic Mulch & Erosion Control will be providing mulch for the project.
