Cooke has more than 25 years of publishing experience, having served as group president at Nielsen Business Media where he was responsible for a global portfolio of magazines, trade shows, conferences and digital services in a variety of vertical markets including military, healthcare, design and construction, visual arts, biotech and human development.
Prior to that, he served as executive vice president at Advanstar Communications, running global magazine and trade show businesses in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and technology sectors. He was also the vice president of marketing at RH Donnelley, a leading yellow pages publisher and part of the D&B organization, and was a guest lecturer at John Carroll University’s Boler Graduate School of Business, teaching Internet marketing.
In 2008, Cooke launched Cooke Associates, LLC, an international media consulting practice dedicated to value creation in the business-to-business sector. Clients included Nielsen, Access Intelligence, Boston Ventures, Clarion Events and Government Executive Media, among others.
