Monster Tree Service Signs First Franchisee

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa.-Monster Tree Service (MTS), based here, opened its first franchise location to service both David and Weber County, Utah. Ryan Rigby, the first franchisee in the system, began service on June 3, 2013.

Four years ago, Skolnick founded MTS to augment his existing landscaping firm. Without ever pruning or removing a tree himself, he hired professionals to work under his brand and led the firm to become a profitable multimillion dollar business. With multiple experts in the trade to assist him, Skolnick developed a system he recognized as highly duplicable, so he moved to franchise MTS in April 2012. He plans on opening five more locations this year.
