LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two new opening acts have been announced for the free concert series at GIE+EXPO (the Green Industry & Equipment Expo) and Hardscape North America in Louisville. They will perform at the downtown entertainment complex, 4th Street Live!, on the Nissan Commercial stage.
Burgin, Ky., natives Aly’An will take the stage on Wednesday, Oct. 23, opening for country music star Craig Morgan. Childhood friends Alyson Burke and Andrea Warner began their music careers competing against each other in local singing competitions. Their mutual respect and amazing talent became the basis for a strong partnership and friendship. The duo has already shared stages with a few of country music’s hottest acts, including: Thompson Square, Heidi Newfield, Bucky Covington and Florida-Georgia Line. They have performed at fairs and festivals across the southeast, and were recently invited by the Earnhardt family of NASCAR fame to perform at one of their prestigious VIP events. The group was even selected as one of the only music acts to perform at the 2012 Vice-Presidential Debate in Danville, Ky.
Brother and sister duo Wesley May & Erica Martin combine to make up the country group Simon Pure. The siblings united earlier this year to write and record the theme song for the DIY Network show "Logheads," a reality show surrounding their family’s log furniture company Rocky Top Log Furniture. While the group may be new, Martin is a staple in the country music circuit. As a soloist the lead vocalist for the group Kickstart, she has toured the country for the past few years. The duo will open on Friday, Oct. 25th for country music star Holly Williams.
