TROY, Ohio – A committee of Troy City Council will recommend an increase in the administrative fee for the city to mow noxious weeds. The finance committee has agreed to recommend a flat administrative fee of $100.
The city currently has a 20 percent administrative fee attached to the mowing bill when the city has to have a property mowed due to failure to maintain noxious weeds. The fee is $28 per hour, making the administrative fee $5.60, which does not cover the costs of inspections, contractor notifications and billing.
