FREDERICK, Md.- Phil Catron, president and founder of NaturaLawn of America, Inc., continued to spread his agronomic knowledge at the International Bio-Pesticides Conference this year, held recently in Ottawa, Canada.

Twenty-five years ago, Catron made it his mission to raise the bar for safety standards in lawn care. NaturaLawn of America broke new ground in 1987 with its environmentally responsible approach.

In Ottawa, Catron discussed the business growth barriers in an organic-based operation, which includes everything from keeping the product cost competitive to having highly trained and knowledgeable employees who can educate customers. Catron also conveyed the relationship between bio-pesticides and synthetics.

The group spoke of the need for increasing technology and research of safer products. Catron’s final parting words at the conference left the attendees with a look into the future of
bio-pesticides: You can’t build brand leaders of the future by using the tools and techniques of the past.”

Headquartered in Frederick, Md., NaturaLawn of America is a national franchise currently with 63 locations servicing environmentally concerned customers in 23 states. For more information, visit www.NaturaLawn.com.
