SNWA Reminds You to Fall Back to Winter Water Schedule

If the sudden change in the weather didn’t do the trick, the Southern Nevada Water Authority is here to remind everyone to cut back on their landscape watering.

The winter watering schedule went into effect Saturday, limiting sprinkler and drip-system use to one assigned day per week through Feb. 28.

The valley’s wholesale water agency recommends setting your irrigation system to run in one-hour intervals during the midmorning to avoid freezing temperatures and wasteful water runoff that can turn into ice on lawns and sidewalks. The water authority is also reminding people to adjust the time-of-day setting on their irrigation clocks, as daylight savings time ended yesterday.

To find your assigned watering group, check your last water bill or look it up at snwa.com.
