PEORIA, Ill. – Dave Vojta, owner of Spring-Green Lawn Care in Peoria, Ill., will be giving away $350 worth of lawn care services to each of the homeowners in Washington, Ill., and surrounding communities that have had to be rebuilt as a result of the tornadoes that hit the central Illinois community on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

It is estimated that nearly 800 homes in the Tri-County area are in need of being rebuilt making Vojta’s commitment in excess of $250,000. ProAp, the professional turf fertilizer supplier, will also donate a truckload of fertilizer toward this project.

Vojta has been serving customers throughout his town and surrounding areas since 2004, and when the tornadoes hit last year he knew immediately he wanted to participate in helping the community recover. During a telethon held in November 2013 to raise funds for victims, Vojta matched $5,000 worth of public donations. He has also been involved with helping to clean up individual homes.

Vojta has over 27 years of experience in the lawn care industry, working for a national lawn care company, as a product supplier and as the owner of an independent lawn care operation before becoming a Spring-Green franchisee in 2004.
