LINCOLN, Neb. — Swanson Russell announces the promotion of Melissa Dohmen in its Lincoln office and John Vogel in its Omaha office.
Dohmen is being promoted from public relations counsel to senior public relations counsel. Since joining the agency as a public relations associate in 2012, Dohmen has been a key member of the account team for the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC). Prior to employment at Swanson Russell, she was the director of marketing and public relations for School House LLC in Durham, North Carolina. She also held marketing positions at Neebo College Outfitters in Lincoln. The Plainview, Nebraska, native is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and a master’s degree in marketing and communications. Vogel is being promoted to senior writer/producer. Since joining the agency as a writer/producer in 2011, he has worked on numerous account teams including Portneuf Medical Center, FMC and Reinke. He previously worked as a writer/producer for Bailey Lauerman and Fusebox, and as a senior writer for Focus on the Family. He was also an agency assistant for Swanson Russell during college. Originally from Lincoln, Vogel earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
