ELGIN, Ill. – Shane Griffith, owner of Weed Man of Elgin, a local lawn care franchise, was recently honored as the recipient of the 2014 Marketing Performance Award for the category of Net Annual Sales under $750,000 at Weed Man USA’s annual convention that took place in Palm Coast, Florida, at the Hammock Beach Resort. The Marketing Performance Award recognizes the franchisee who has executed all marketing plans with excellence, ultimately leading to significant growth for the current year.

“Shane had a very successful first year with Weed Man, winning the ‘Rookie of the Year Award’ last year. Now, after completing his second year, he has impressed us all again by the growth of his franchise,” said Mike Richard, national marketing director of Weed Man and Turf Holdings, Inc. “We look forward to watching his continued success with Weed Man.”

In his first year of operation, Griffith was able to finish just shy of $300,000 in net sales. Due to a high level of performance on his marketing campaigns in 2014, he ended the year with $660,000 in net sales, growing his company by over $360,000.
