WinField Signs Agreement To Acquire Matrix Turf Solutions, LLC

SHOREVIEW, Minn. – Winfield Solutions, LLC, one of the nation’s largest distributors of professional products for golf, lawn and sports turf, ornamental, pest control, aquatics and vegetation management, has entered into a purchase agreement for the assets of Matrix Turf Solutions, LLC., based in Syracuse, N.Y.
 
Matrix Turf Solutions is one of the Northeast’s highly respected organizations in the professional products industry, with a similar premium brand and value proposition to WinField offering solutions, service and insights to help customers win in the marketplace. Matrix Turf Solutions’ primary focus is turf and ornamental, servicing the states of New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, New Hampshire and New Jersey through its four locations.
 
WinField has 80 service centers across the country and more than 75 sales representatives in golf course management, lawn and sports turf management, pest control, aquatics, ornamental and vegetative management markets.
 
WinField also recently announced it has entered into a purchase agreement for the acquisition of the professional products business assets and inventory of Wilco-WinField JV, which primarily services the turf and ornamental segments in the Pacific Northwest.
 
Both acquisitions are scheduled to be complete by Sept. 30, 2013, and are subject to customary closing conditions.
