Dow AgroSciences has received federal registration of XXpire WG insecticide, an ornamental product that combines two new active ingredients, spinetoram and Isoclast Active, a brand-new class of insecticide chemistry.
Effective on 39 pests, including seven of the top 10 most troublesome ornamental insects, XXpire WG controls both chewing and sap-feeding species.
Available for use in nurseries, greenhouses and commercial landscapes, XXpire WG controls whiteflies, aphids, mealybugs, lepidopterans, lacebugs, certain scales and thrips, and suppresses spider mites. It offers excellent systemic activity to control insects hidden in the plant canopy.
State registrations for XXpire WG are pending. The product will be available in the marketplace this fall.
