SNA Holds Winter Trade Show
The 2009 Southern Nursery Association Green Industry Winter Trade Show was held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga. The show welcomed more than 2,500 registered attendees, and 300 exhibitor booths represented all facets of the horticulture industry.
Thomas E. “Buddy” Martin, president and owner of Martins Nursery, Inc., Semmes, Ala., was awarded the Slater Wright Memorial Award at the 2009 Past Presidents’ Awards Ceremony at the trade show. Other awards included the David E. Laird Sr. Memorial Award, Todd Ellefson, Windmill Nursery of Louisiana, LLC, Folsom, La.; SNA Environmental Leadership Award, Jerry Lee, Monrovia Growers; and Porter Henegar Memorial Award, Dr. Alan Windham, University of Tennessee. Booth awards were presented to Saul Nurseries, Atlanta, Ga.; Pottery Land, East Point, Ga.; Transplant Nursery, Inc., Archer, Fla.; and Red River Concrete Products, Clarksville, Tenn.
