Dow AgroSciences Announces New T&O Positions

Ryan Messner has accepted the role of black belt in the Strategy Acceleration & Productivity group, and Maureen Clark has taken the position of sales representative, replacing Messner, at Dow AgroSciences.

Messner has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Saint Joseph’s College of Indiana and has worked in turf and ornamental sales territories in Tennessee and Florida.

Clark has a bachelor’s degree in turfgrass science from Purdue University. She was previously a sales trainee for the Midwest Urban Pest District located in Indiana, and she joined the Southern Urban Pest District in May. Prior to joining Dow, she was an assistant golf course superintendent at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.

Bayer Environmental Extends “Protect Against Fire Ants” School Program

Bayer Environmental Science has extended its TopChoice insecticide “Protect Against Fire Ants” Schools Program for the 2009 school year.

The program is offered to private and public secondary school districts for use on school grounds, including athletic fields and recreation, city, state and national parks in Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. Schools can choose among three options based on their fire ant control and turf care needs: Buy two bags of TopChoice, receive one bag free; buy four bags of TopChoice + Fertilizer, receive one bag of TopChoice free; or receive a $15 rebate on every bag of TopChoice + Fertilizer purchased.
