DriWater Donates Products for Arbor Day

DriWater, Inc. donated products in support of organizations involved in tree plantings for California’s Arbor Day observation, March 7-14. DriWater offered California organizations one case (20 units) of Perforated Tube delivery systems, which provide up to 30 days of watering, and two cases (40 replacement Gel Pacs) for monthly reapplications to assist in the establishment of these plants. This quantity of product can water five to 20 small trees for up to 90 days.

G2 Wins Design Awards

Garret Hergert, owner of G2 Outdoor Living, Vancouver, Wash., won seven Grand awards and an Overall Judges Award in the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals annual design competition. Hergert’s seven winning projects ranged from a 3-acre residential mountain retreat to a religious interpretive center behind an industrial office building.

Jacobsen Expands Territory

Jacobsen announced the appointment of Golf Ventures West as the new Jacobsen dealer for Georgia, Alabama and north Florida. This expands the company’s relationship with Golf Ventures West, which currently represents Jacobsen in Phoenix, Ariz.; Corona, San Diego, Oxnard, Hayward and Sacramento, Calif.; and Las Vegas, Nev. Golf Ventures West operations will be led by Mike Eastwood. Garry Callahan, a 38-year industry veteran and a Jacobsen dealer for over 20 years, has joined Golf Ventures West.

Richard Cohen Constructs Award-Winning Project

Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. won two awards for its work at the Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope. The Orange County chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association gave the company a first place award for a water feature in its Beautification Awards program. The company also received a Special Effects Trophy Award at the state CLCA convention.

Kioti Hires Baer, Promotes Tractors on YouTube

Kioti Tractor appointed Brent Baer to the position of territory manager in Ontario. Baer has over 20 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and sales and marketing. Previously, he worked for Echo Power Equipment.

Kioti has begun utilizing YouTube to showcase its line of 22 to 90 hp tractors in action. Short videos have been uploaded to www.youtube.com in response to increasing requests by both customers and dealers to see Kioti tractors equipped with various implements successfully completing a variety of work.
