SWT Receives Awards
SWT Design, St. Louis, Mo., received three awards from the Central States Conference of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The company received honor awards for its work on Des Peres Park Lake and the SWT Design Campus in St. Louis, and a merit award for Indian Creek Lodge in Branson, Mo.
New Hires for Residex
Residex Turfgrass has added Ron Calhoun as Midwest regional manager. Previously, he spent 15 years as part of the Michigan State University Turf Team, most recently as turfgrass extension specialist. His doctorate research focused on the biology and ecology of annual bluegrass.
Steve Loveday was hired as product development manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in crop and soil science from Michigan State University and has over 20 years of turf experience. He has worked for country clubs and Great Lakes Turf LLC.
Water in Motion Receives Award
Water in Motion, Inc. received a WaterSmart Partner award from the Toro Co. Water in Motion is one of only nine consulting firms to receive the award. The award was presented in a surprise ceremony at the firm’s new office in Minneapolis, Minn.
JP Carlton Announces New Dealership
JP Carlton announced a new addition to its dealer network. Southeastern Equipment will now carry the entire Carlton stump cutter and wood chipper lines. Southeastern, headquartered in Cambridge, Ohio, has branch locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky and offers a highly trained staff of service technicians.
Western Makes Top Workplaces List
For the second consecutive year, the Western Products division of Douglas Dynamics, LLC, was among Milwaukee-area employers named to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Top Workplaces list. The company was ranked as the number one midsize (150 to 499 employees) manufacturer.
